Safe & Sweet Keto Bakery has a location in both York County and Lancaster County of Pennsylvania. Owner Laura Small founded the company in 2018 after discovering the health benefits (coupled with the limited flavors) from switching to a keto diet. The most challenging part of the diet: sweets -- more specifically baked goods.
Laura wanted a logo design that encompassed the sweet, youthful, playful nature of her brand, while maintaining a mature demeanor to distinguish herself as a sweet treats business as well as a diet and lifestyle brand. The brand audit revealed that the old logo was no longer serving the purpose she needed it for and was ultimately causing some confusing amongst her target audience.

The new mascot logo was created on my iPad using Procreate for the concept and sketching stage, then transitioning to Adobe Illustrator to refine and vectorize the logo. The color palette screams sugary, velvety, confectionary perfection. Laura wanted to maintain a script-style font, so we picked one that looks straight out of a piping bag.
Next, we created marketing materials to aid in the promotion of her new look and brand recognition. I designed a business card with a QR code that links directly to her website. After reviewing several different paper finishes and thicknesses, I guided her to her perfect business card style. In addition, I curated a postcard and die-cut sticker that perfectly complements her business cards -- a real Aesthetic Stack™, if you will.

The last phase of our partnership was to produce new merch for Safe & Sweet Keto Bakery. Laura expressed that while she was dissatisfied with the apparel design of the previous shirts, she love the quality of the shirts themselves. Fortunately, I was able to source the same shirts and even recommended other styles within the brand that would be of a similar quality.
